Supporting youth is a big goal at Moreno Ranches, because – well – youth are the future. They’re the future of the Brahman cattle industry, and they’re the future of – well – everything. In partnership with the American Junior Brahman Assocation, we’re really proud of the results of the 2015 sale. We donated Ms. Lady Joleen 742, and a buyers group purchased her for $16,000. The buyers group donated the heifer back to be sold the following night at the Moreno Ranches Denim & Diamonds Sale. She was purchased for $9,000 by Golden Meadows Ranch owned by Chris & Ruby Cooley of Cotulla, Texas. All of the proceeds of this female go to fund the activities of the American Junior Brahman Association.
All told $25,000 was raised to support Brahman Juniors. You can read the full announcement, here.
