Editor’s Note:

At Moreno Ranches, we believe in the future. Part of that future is superior genetics and the constant improvement of the Brahman cattle breed through sophisticated animal husbandry technology. Technology is part of that future, a passion for the Brahman breed is part of that future, and so are our youth. As such, we’d like to introduce one of our 2025 international interns, Renaldo Lema.

Reynaldo Samir Lema Inguillay was born on July 29, 2004 in Guayaquil, Guayas province, Ecuador. Since his childhood, he has lived in the picturesque canton of Bucay, also located in the province of Guayas. He is the son of William Fernando Lema Vargas and Cristina Paola Inguillay Pilco, who have been fundamental pillars in his life. Reynaldo has a younger sister, Sheccid Ayelem Lema Inguillay, who wants to follow in his footsteps, with whom he shares a special bond and many significant experiences.

His academic training began at the San Juan de Bucay Educational Unit, where he completed his primary and secondary studies. During these years, he developed a deep interest in agricultural and livestock sciences, which motivated him to seek opportunities that would allow him to expand his knowledge in these areas.

After completing high school, Reynaldo entered the Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School in Honduras, an institution recognized for its “learning by doing” educational model. At Zamorano, he had the opportunity to participate in various practical modules that covered livestock management, agricultural practices, and industrialization. These experiences not only allowed him to consolidate his technical skills, but also taught him the importance of discipline, teamwork, and informed decision-making.

Currently, Reynaldo is preparing to do his internship at Moreno Ranches, a prestigious livestock company. This challenge represents a significant step in his career, as it will allow him to apply the knowledge acquired at Zamorano and face new challenges in a professional environment.

In the future, Reynaldo dreams of contributing to the development of the agricultural and livestock sector in his country, combining technological innovation with sustainable practices. His vision includes implementing projects that promote productivity and animal welfare, as well as supporting small producers in improving their production systems. With his dedication and commitment, Reynaldo is determined to make a difference in the agricultural sector, taking with him the values and teachings he has received throughout his life.
