At Moreno Ranches, we believe in the future. Part of that future is superior genetics and the constant improvement of the Brahman cattle breed through sophisticated animal husbandry technology. Technology is part of that future, a passion for the Brahman breed is part of that future, and so are our youth. As such, we’d like to introduce one of our 2023 international interns, Marlong Martinez.
Marlong Martinez is twenty-eight years old from Chiriquí Panama. He has a degree in Agribusiness Administration from Universidad Tecnologica Oteima in Panama. Currently he is a senior of Agricultural sciences and production Engineering at the Zamorano University in Honduras.
Marlong has field experience in handling agricultural machinery, handling cattle and horses, and is very familiar with teamwork, with an ability to plan and control agricultural activities.
Since he was a child, Marlong participated in the activities of his family’s farm. This made him a great fan of agriculture. At an early age, he started working in the family business where he learned to use the tools used on a farm and acquired the skills he has today. When Marlong finished high school, he started working in different agricultural companies in his region where he gained work experience, then entered the university where he graduated in agribusiness administration in 2019. Marlong’s dream as a child was always to be an agricultural engineer graduate from Zamorano University, a dream that he fulfilled after starting his studies in agronomy at this university in 2020.
Marlong is a student in love with cattle production, interested mainly in the production of genetics for beef cattle. His goal as a professional is to be a proactive collaborator, who communicates effectively with colleagues, able to take adequate decisions, elaborate any kind of heavy or fine work, either with machinery or mechanical tools. He is resilient and adaptable to any work environment, punctual, responsible, and ethical with all commitments.
His hobbies are horse riding, calf roping, bull riding, rodeo, listen music, watch movies.
