Editor’s Note:

At Moreno Ranches, we believe in the future. Part of that future is superior genetics and the constant improvement of the Brahman cattle breed through sophisticated animal husbandry technology. Technology is part of that future, a passion for the Brahman breed is part of that future, and so are our youth. As such, we’d like to introduce one of our 2025 international interns, Junior Valdiviezo

Junior Valdiviezo was born on August 27, 2002, in Piura, Peru. From a young age, Junior was deeply connected to rural life—a passion that grew thanks to his family, who are involved in agriculture and trade.

Junior’s interest in rural activities soon expanded to livestock farming, a field that fascinates him because of its impact on food security and economic development. This passion led him to study at Zamorano University, a renowned institution known for its practical approach and excellence in agricultural sciences and production. At Zamorano, Junior had the opportunity to gain technical knowledge and hands-on experience in livestock management, strengthening his skills and commitment to the livestock sector.

Currently, Junior is highly motivated by the opportunity to further develop his skills at Moreno Ranches, a leader in cattle genetics. This challenge excites him because it represents a platform to apply everything he has learned, explore new technologies, and contribute to advancements in the livestock industry.

Junior’s goal is to become a distinguished professional in livestock production, capable of combining traditional practices with technological innovation to optimize processes and improve product quality. Livestock farming is not just his passion; it is also the path through which Junior aspires to make a positive impact on his community and beyond.
