Recently, we participated in the Louisiana Brahman Associations’ Sugar Classic, held in New Iberia, LA, on August 29-31, 2014. The Louisiana Brahman association is one of the oldest state affiliates of the American Brahman Breeders Association, dedicated to the promotion of the Brahman breed. Of course, as at any cattle show, there were judging events. Judging for Brahman cattles looks at the breed characteristics, and seeks to identify those qualities in a heifer that will make for the most genetically advanced offspring. It’s not just about looks, but of course, we think our heifers look pretty good!
